Oh beautiful Alaska! After our first attempt we needed a bit silence to recover and to refill our energy. So we decided to make a tour through the countryside. The nature is marvelous. And we even saw some animals.

We saw some muskoxs. Muskoxen primarily live in Arctic North America and Greenland, with small introduced populations in Sweden, Siberia and Norway. For us it was very special to see those animals because we don’t have them in Switzerland and in Austria.

Later on we saw a huge group of Reindeers. They crossed the road just in front of our car. It was impressing to see the reindeers so close. Did you know that reindeers are thought to be the only mammals that can see ultraviolet light?
